F***ing Renos

Kaizen is a Japanese phrase meaning “change for better” or “continuous improvement” and it is something that every single person I have ever spoken to in regards to training, life or even their mindset wants.

This past week I have been doing renovations at home, we have a little painting to do but once we finish over the next few days we will have done an entire house

The funny thing with renos is that you complete a stage and feel that’s it but then a new thing pops up that we decide to do, it is constant and never ending improvement of our house until one day down the road we decide to upgrade and start over again

Anyone who has a house does this exact same thing

Improve the garden

Maintain the garden

Paint this wall

Rip out this wall and ‘open it up’

There are literally hundreds of little jobs we do to improve or maintain our homes

Our bodies are NO DIFFERENT

Hit a strength goal? Now I want to focus on getting leaner…

Hit a weight loss goal? Now I need to learn how to maintain it…

Hit a PB? How can I hit another 5kg next time…

This Kaizen mindset is GREAT and it is what lead to great people doing great things

What is my point today you ask?

When was the last time you reassessed where you are at and what the next small but logical step needs to be to move you forwards?

Commit to making this step over the next 3 months and I promise that great things will happen from it

Just 3 months of intense focus can change your life

Just look at the results from the last transformation challenge group

4kg down, 5kg down, 6kg down, 7kg down, 8kg down, up to 14kg down being the highest I believe WITHOUT doing anything crazy or starving themselves

Hell, I went from 109.1kg to 99.5kg today in around 4 months and I didn’t have to give up foods I like or the red wines that comforted me every time the gym got locked down

This 3 months changed our lives

We are taking on new ‘challengers’ now to get ready for the next transformation
